Body Composition Challenge

BODY (2)

LOOKING FOR A PROGRAMME OF EXERCISE & NUTRITION WITH GENUINE MEASURABLE RESULTS?

EVER WONDERED WHAT YOUR BODY IS MADE UP OF AND WHY THIS COULD AFFECT YOUR HEALTH?

Join our unique programme where participants are trained, coached & guided for 8 weeks to achieve better health.

What is the CHALLENGE & what can be achieved?

The CHALLENGE is to improve your body's composition and overall health. It is suitable for adults of all ages and physical ability.

By participating in the programme, members can improve their body weight, energy levels, mood, athletic performance, vital health markers including blood pressure and cholesterol levels and the body's rate of metabolism. Our programme is based on significant scientific research about how exercise and personalised nutrition can improve your health. As the ancient proverb goes – a quarter of what you eat keeps you alive, ¾ keeps your doctor alive.

What is included in the CHALLENGE programme?

With Hot Yoga Health working in partnership with Nutritionalist & Functional Medicine Practitioner Natalie Gillan, we will be offering hot yoga training sessions, providing food-as-medicine targeted plans, coaching our participants in stress and anxiety reduction techniques and educating on how to achieve better sleep.

You will set targeted and achievable goals of improving your body composition over the 8 weeks.

What exactly is Body Composition and why it is important?

We will be measuring your Body Composition, body weight and blood pressure throughout the programme. Our body is composed of so-called ‘fat-free’ mass and fat mass. Fat-free mass includes muscles, bones, organs, water, blood and lymph. Healthy bodies have a lower percentage of body fat and a higher percentage of muscle mass, well-hydrated cells and a high level of total hydration. In some cases of weight loss, muscle mass is reduced and the fat content remains high, leaving a person in no better health even following weight loss.

How is the Body Composition measured?

With all this information gathered, we will set about discussing focused individual goals, defining eating plans, an exercise schedule and offer many practical tips on how to establish healthy habits along the way.

Nutritional Therapy & Lifestyle change based on Body Composition is a scientifically validated approach to improving your health & wellbeing. With our team to guide and support, the programme will provide you with the knowledge & power to make healthy lifestyle choices each day.

The CHALLENGE Programme

PHASE 1

Initial Data Collection: Natalie will record your Body Composition and other vitals in a 1-to-1 session. All you need to do is to book into a 15-minute time slot at the Hot Yoga Health Centre (details below).

PHASE 2

The Body Composition Challenge Workshop: All programme participants will meet for an interactive session. You will be handed your personal Body Composition results. Natalie will talk through a sample report and make sure you understand your results. You will be advised how the following tools can be used to improve your body composition:

- Nutrition - including a specific basal metabolic rate (BMR) meal plan

- Physical exercise -  including hot yoga, cardiovascular exercise & HIIT

- Lifestyle with focus on sleep and stress

The workshop will finish with discussion and advice on setting personal goals.

PHASE 3

The 8-week programme will begin. Now the challenge is in your hands; the goal is in your sight.

After week 4, you will be invited to book a slot with Natalie and record your Body Composition vitals to monitor your progress.

After week 8, the final round of Body Composition readings will be undertaken. The report will be sent to you and you will be able to review your progress results.
