HYPNOBIRTHING COURSE - Designed for Expectant Mums and Birthing Partners

What is Hypnobirthing?

Hypnobirthing is a combination of hypnotherapy and breathing techniques, encouraging positive influences, words and stories for birth and educating expectant parents about labour and birth, as well as ways to deal with the unexpected should it arise. 

A hypnobirthing course is a full birth preparation course that doesn’t just tell you what to expect but gives you tools and techniques to help you have a positive and supported birth experience.

What can Hypnobirthing do for you?

- Gain confidence throughout pregnancy, labour and birth
- Gather information to make informed decisions for you and your baby
- Provides a toolkit of techniques to feel relaxed and in control during labour and birth
- Focuses on relaxation of the body and mind

What to expect from the course:

- A full antenatal course with engaging content and participation (not death by powerpoint)
- Gather knowledge and ask questions in a relaxed environment
- Meet and chat with other expectant parents at a similar stage of pregnancy
- Quality time with your baby and birth partner
- Course Workbook, relaxation MP3’s, affirmation cards and goody bag
- Light refreshments

The course content includes:

- What hypnobirthing is
- How hypnobirthing can help in pregnancy and birth
- Tools and techniques to encourage a relaxed, positive experience
- Births rights and choices
- The different stages of labour and what to expect throughout the journey
- The role of the birth partner and some handy hints and tips for them too

PREGNANCY YOGA - 4 Week Course

Prenatal yoga is a beautiful way for mother’s to be to find and connect to their ever changing bodies. Join us for this deeply nourishing 4 week course exploring a mixture of physical Yoga postures (asana), pranayama (breathing techniques), sound therapy, yoga nidra (Yogi Sleep) and more to completely cleanse the body and mind. Led by Cat Hard, one of our wonderful teachers here at HYH. Cat is qualified in both Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga.

On a physical level practicing yoga will:

- Help you keep fit during a time when movements may otherwise feel restricted
- Help you tune out of the sympathetic nervous system (which is responsible for the stress hormones, such as adrenaline) and tune into the parasympathetic nervous system (responsible for the “feel good” hormones e.g. oxytocin)
- Improved sleep
- Increased lung capacity
- Releases tension in achy muscles.

On a more subtle level yoga will:

- Empower you as a woman to take control of your own birth whilst accepting the natural flow of change.
- Provide a nurturing environment to listen to your body.
- Prepare on an emotional level for motherhood or any anxiety around birth.
- Build a sense of community with other women.

Suitable for expectant mums 14 weeks pregnant or more - No previous yoga experience necessary. Your safety is important to us here at Hot Yoga Health, especially at this special time of your life.
